SUNDAY 4th JUNE 2017

The Bath Skyline. 3 hrs. 6 miles. Moderate. Start at 10.00 am at Wessex Water car park,

Claverton Down, Bath. OS Map ST 778630. A circular walk on National Trust land with fine views

overlooking the city and passing old quarry workings at “ampton rocks”. Not suitable for pushchairs. Coffee stop only. Parking by kind permission Wessex Water.

Colerne Parish. 3 hrs. 5 miles. Moderate. Start at 10.00 am at The Fox and Hounds Public House

in Colerne, OS Map ST 818711. Park at pub or adjacent Constitutional Club. Bring a mid-morning munchie. Lunch available at pub. Not suitable for pushchairs.

Up to Kelston Clump from Saltford. 4 hrs. 6 miles. Strenuous. Start at 10.00 am at The Shallows

car park, Saltford BS31 3EY. OS Map ST 687673. We cross the Avon by the cycle path and then

use Warden restored paths to Kelston before climbing up to Kelston Clump. On to Prospect Stile

and downhill from then. At North Stoke view Wardens’ work repairing the churchyard wall. Please bring a picnic lunch.

Doynton to Hanging Hill. 4 hrs. 7.5 miles. Moderate.. Start at 10.00 am. by Doynton Church. OS

Map ST 720741. A steepening climb up Toghill before crossing Freezing Hill lane and dropping

down to the Cotswold Way before Hamswell House. We follow the Cotswold Way to Hanging Hill

before dropping down to Wick and return along the River Boyd. Please bring a picnic lunch. Not suitable for pushchairs.

A Short Walk on the Longest Day. 3 hrs. 5.5 miles. Moderate. Start at 6.00 pm at Cross Keys,

Southstoke Road, Combe Down, Bath, OS Map ST 748619. A circular walk through the valleys of

Southstoke, Combe Hay and Midford taking in a beautiful flower meadow (orchids). No suitable for pushchairs.

SATURDAY 24th June 2017.

Cold Ashton to St Catherine’s. 5.5 hrs. 8 miles. Strenuous. Start at 10.00 am at Cold Ashton

Walker’s Village Hall car park. OS Map ST 748726. Following the stream we head towards

Marshfield to join the Green Lane. Turning south we reach Ashwicke and drop down to enter St.

Catherine’s valley passing the Court and following the brook back to Cold Ashton. Please bring a packed lunch.
